Piedmont Mining Granted Interest In Second Oil Well

Reno, NV – September 25, 2009 - Piedmont Mining Company, Inc. (OTC BB: PIED) today announced that it has been granted a 6% interest in a second oil well in Tennessee. This well will also be producing light, sweet crude oil without water problems or sulfur.  These wells will be providing the Company with its first revenue since 1992.

Management is working to secure additional interests in oil and gas wells to establish alternative sources of cash flow to fund its gold and silver exploration activities, thereby reducing the need to sell common stock.

San Gold options 50% of Strike Point from StrikePoint

San Gold Corp. and StrikePoint Gold Inc. have entered into a letter agreement setting forth the terms and conditions of a transaction whereby San Gold can earn a 50-per-cent undivided interest in the Strike Point property that lies adjacent and to the north and northwest of San Gold's mining lease that contains the Rice Lake mine, the Cartwright deposit and the high-grade-gold Hinge mine and Cohiba zone. Pursuant to the letter agreement, the parties have agreed to negotiate a subsequent definitive option agreement.

Rice Lake Mine Deep Drilling Yields Multiple Significant High Grade Gold Zones

Dale Ginn, CEO of San Gold Corporation (SGR: TSX-V) is pleased to report that
ongoing definition and exploration drilling continues to confirm and explore numerous targets within the Rice Lake mine including a new extension of the high grade “98” vein and new discoveries above the 26th level. Drill hole #28-09-15 cut 44 g/tonne (1.3 oz/ton) over 5.9 meters (19 ft) extending the 98 vein extensively to the west at the newly developed 28th level. This intersection included two high grade segments grading 130 g/tonne (3.8 oz/ton) over 1.0 m and 77 g/tonne (2.3 oz/ton) over 1.6 m containing coarse visible gold. Hole #26-09-34 discovered multiple new zones in undeveloped and unexplored areas above the 26th level. Drilling began to extend and define the undeveloped Deep East zones, while the main zones – 96, A and C, continued to display excellent continuity, grades and width to depth.
